Every Artist Has a Beginning.
Dandelion Art Company was founded on the belief that every child is an artist—capable of creating, growing, and expressing themselves through art. My mission is to provide meaningful, hands-on art experiences that inspire creativity, build confidence, and celebrate every young artist's unique journey.
Rather than simply copying famous works of art, students discover how influential artists thought, experimented, and expressed their ideas before using those techniques to create artwork that is uniquely their own. As students grow, our curriculum grows with them, encouraging deeper artistic understanding, stronger technical skills, and greater creative confidence each year.
Founded by artist and instructor Leah Brown, Dandelion Art Company proudly serves homeschool families through engaging art enrichment programs for students in kindergarten through high school. Every lesson is thoughtfully designed to blend art history, creative exploration, and skill-building in a welcoming environment where students feel supported, challenged, and inspired to discover their own artistic voice.

Helping young artists grow with confidence, creativity, and joy.

Meet your Instructor
Hi! I'm Leah Brown, the artist and instructor behind Dandelion Art Company.
As a homeschool parent and lifelong artist, I understand how meaningful learning happens when children feel encouraged, supported, and excited to create. My goal is to make every class a place where students feel comfortable trying new things, asking questions, and discovering what they're capable of.
I love introducing students to influential artists throughout history—not so they can simply copy famous artwork, but so they can discover how artists thought, experimented, and expressed their ideas before creating artwork that's uniquely their own.
Nothing brings me more joy than watching a student's confidence grow as they realize, "I can do this!"
My hope is that every student leaves class not only with artwork they're proud of, but with the confidence, curiosity, and inspiration to keep creating long after class has ended.
I can't wait to meet your family and see what your young artist creates!
